St. Anthony's is a high school in Jersey City that is widely recognized as having one of the best high school basketball programs in the country, if not the best. While most succesfull programs are usually highly attended, well funded high schools, St. Anthony's is a poor inner city high school the size of an elementary school with under 250 students that doesn't even have its own gym. The program is run by Bob Hurley, a former probation officer from Jersey City who knows from years of first hand experience what can happen to the youth if no one steps in and provides a platform for them to harness their skills and get out of their neighborhoods. Other than winning, his main mission is keeping kids off the streets and getting them the education they need to survive, all but two of his players have gone on to college. St. Anthony's has been struggling financially for a long time and really needs any help it can get to keep its doors open.
